Maddocks lawyer Elizabeth Lilley has been promoted to partner in the firm’s national private equity team.

Lilley, who is based in Melbourne, specialises in M&A for private equity firms. She has extensive experience in private equity and founder transactions, roll-up strategies and international M&A. Prior to joining Maddocks, Lilley worked in London and has expertise in large, complex, cross-border transactions.

Maddocks has also promoted to partner Trent Chugg, banking and finance, Melbourne and Lindsay Sheather, real estate, Sydney.

These promotions bring Maddocks partners to 96, the largest number in the firm’s 140-year history.

Maddocks chief executive David Newman said the new appointments reflected the strength of the firm’s commercial practice.
