Seed fund manager Uniseed is seeking two additional investment managers.

The move follows the universities-backed technology investor recently adding Macquarie University, Western Sydney University, University of Technology Sydney, and Newcastle University to its backers. Uniseed is also backed by CSIRO and, since last year, by super fund UniSuper.

The new roles are based in Melbourne and Sydney. The Melbourne position is for a technology sector generalist while the Sydney position is for a biotechnology specialist.

The roles involve significant community liaison with university commercialisation teams, researchers, incubators and accelerators.  The investment managers will use these contacts to identify investment opportunities. They will then carry out due diligence and, after investment, manage investments through the commercialisation process and towards exits.

Entrepreneurial backgrounds, including working with start-ups, will highly regarded in the recruitment process as will be strong domain experience.

Applicants should send a CV and covering letter to: enquiries@uniseed.com
