Square Peg Capital has promoted Sydney-based principal James Tynan to partner.

The former Startmate chief executive joined Square Peg in May 2020.

The first investment Tynan worked on for Square Peg was leading a $US6 million seed round in animal cell-based artificial meat company Vow Foods in January 2021.

Thanking Square Peg’s senior team for their endorsement, Tynan said: “Going forward the aim’s the same – I want to help exceptional founders solve huge problems in climate, healthcare and software more generally.”
