Miles Advisory Partners has announced a strategic partnership with global investment banking advisory firm Lincoln International.

The collaborative agreement is expected to expand industry expertise, geographic reach and investor relationships for both firms.

Miles’ principal and founder Tim Miles said Lincoln’s presence in more than 20 cities around the world will open additional avenues for Miles’ clients in geographies industries and strategies.

Lincoln’s chief executive Rob Brown said the Chicago-based firm was the global leader in advising on private equity exits last year and he was confident the collaboration would augment Miles’ work for Australian and New Zealand clients while also providing access to the Oceania region for Lincoln’s clients.

“Importantly, our firms share similar collaborative and entrepreneurial cultures,” he said.

Over the last five years, Australia has ranked eighth globally for both deal value and volume.

Founded in 2002 by Tim Miles, Miles has grown to include 20 professionals focused on mid-market advisory services including M&A, debt advisory and restructuring.
